Set up a Meta Business portfolio
A Business portfolio (formerly Business Manager) is your company's folder on Meta. It holds your ad account, Facebook Page, Instagram and pixel together — and it is how you give Pilgud access without sharing your personal Facebook account with anyone.
- Cost:
- Free.
- Time:
- About 5 minutes, plus confirming your email.
Steps
- 01
Open Meta Business Suite
Go to business.facebook.com and log in with your Facebook account.
- 02
Create the portfolio
Click the drop-down menu below Home in the top left and choose Create a business portfolio.

Name it
Use the name your customers know — it is visible across Meta. Special characters are not allowed.
- 04
Add your details
Enter your first name, surname and a business email address. It is not shown to customers.
- 05
Confirm
Click Create. Meta emails you — open it and confirm the address. The portfolio is ready.
Watch out
- One person can create at most two portfolios. Check whether you already have one.
- Each asset (Page, Instagram, ad account, pixel) can belong to only one portfolio.
- Your contact details are visible to the people you add to the portfolio.
Stuck?
Write to a person. The step is already in the e-mail — just say what happened.
