Facebook Page and linking Instagram
A Meta ad always runs in the name of a Page — without a Facebook Page there is no ad. Link Instagram too, and the same ad can show in both places and posts go to both at once.
- Cost:
- Free.
- Time:
- 10–20 minutes.
Steps
- 01
Create a Page if you have none
On Facebook choose Pages → Create Page → Public Page, enter the name and category and click Create Page. Meta currently shows two slightly different flows, so follow the screenshot.

Add the Page to your portfolio
In Meta Business Suite: Settings → Accounts → Pages → + Add → Add an existing Facebook Page. Enter the name or URL, agree and click Add Page.
- 03
Make Instagram a professional account
Only a professional (business or creator) account can be linked. If yours is personal, Instagram offers to switch it during linking.
- 04
Link Instagram to the Page
In the Instagram app: profile → Edit profile → Page → Connect or create → log in to Facebook → choose the Page and tap Connect.

Add Instagram to the portfolio
In Meta Business Suite: Settings → Accounts → Instagram accounts → Add → Add Instagram account, log in and confirm. Now ads can run on Instagram too.
Watch out
- The Page and Instagram must be in the same portfolio, and you need full control of the Page.
- Once linked, anyone with access to one can manage both.
